Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Bada Y — 13 Jun 2018
"Oh, Captain, My captain", "Carpe Diem".
This movie can be summarized by these two sentences. The story is about growing students and the teacher who teaches them to be true to the present like a captain. I got angry together in the sight of everyone crying after Neil's suicide. Not only was Neil dead, but also because I felt the educational reality that I called not accept teaches like keating. Mr. Keating taught Neil to decide his own way and think for himself. The result was "tragedy" but Neil's life must have been the play at the moment th stood on stage to do the play. After watching a movie called Dead Poets Society, I was able to think deeply about the responsibilities of being a teacher. The power to detect the potential shown by Mr.Keating is not raised only for a day. It will be "Carpe Diem" again today, taking into mind the precious values that the dead poet's society has shown.
