I Spit in Your Grave is a film that drew much criticism in the late 70s as something of a snuff film due to it's scenes of rape and castration. This film is poor in almost all aspects. The story is bland, the acting is some of the worst I have ever watched, and the direction is weak.
One will feel horrified when watching this horror film, but it's not based on anything original and only based on scenes that would make any person cringe. This film should not be villified, it should be pitied.
It was made by a bunch of un-talented people, other than the main actress who may have had some potential.
