Review of Dark Was the Night (2015) by Cory W — 06 May 2017
I get what they were going for... and with a bigger budget it might have worked. The film ended about 20 minutes too soon while taking too long to get to the monster stuff.
It's a shame because there were some really cool ideas that just fell short. The cast was excellent, they really were... but I feel like the director (Jack Heller) was a little too inexperienced as this is only his 2nd directorial credit.
I'm sure it'll have its fans.
