Review of Dark Star (1974) by Donovan D — 24 Jan 2008
Hilariously cheap sci-fi spoof. The film is quite impressive for its imaginative use of what was available, but there is only so much believability one can invest in a beach ball alien. Certainly not Carpenter at his greatest and no where near an A-Grade film, Dark Star will be of interest to those with a taste for the Z-Grade.
