Review of Creed II (2018) by Mrpajamas — 12 Aug 2021

This film goes pretty safe. Familiar faces from the fourth Rocky installment return here, so big nostalgia for fans. The training here is a bit better than in the previous installment in my opinion and the overall opposition much more interesting.

I'd say the film relies on nostalgia quite a bit and I found myself constantly eating it up, and the film manages to reminisce about the five-part Rocky series more than once. Everything worked here, except the music.

It was good, but it didn't fit here and there. It was just too modern and I understand the need to move with the times, but for me it just doesn't have the classic Rocky Theme. For me, a good movie that I recommend.
