Review of Creed II (2018) by Heywoody — 19 Jun 2023
Redundant, repetitive, vacuous, shallow nonsense. Like most boxing movies, but this one is even less interesting. The genre conventions have all been run into the ground. Boxing movies have nothing to say anymore.
Retread the same ol same ol year after year. We'll get a bunch more next year I imagine. The first Creed was wildly over rated, but it did have some flourish. The performances were interesting. The cinematic style was freshish.
This is just a cash grab feeling film.
