Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Chris M — 08 Mar 2011

Yikes! Nowhere near as good as the other classic Universal monsters, such as Dracula and Frankenstein, but it's worth a watch just for a good laugh. The story is...well...the less said about that, the better.

I got the chance to see this in horrid 3-D, which had it been in better shape, it could have been splendidly fun, however what we are left with is an abundance of cheese that isn't even that much fun to watch.

I'm being generous with three stars, only because you have to think of the time this film was made and the technology they had, but even then, they had to have known this whole film was silly schlock.

I just couldn't get into that much. Julie Adams is pretty hot, though.
