True story of a young ambulance chasing attorney in NYC in the late 1950s 'Burt Pugach" who is obsessed with a young 20 yr old woman and will do anything to have and keep her. When she becomes engaged to someone else he hires thugs to "mess her up".
They do - he goes to jail but the story does not end there. This documentary explores both Pugach and Linda Riss through interviews with them and with those that are close to both of them. "Crazy" part is true - but I wouldn't call this love.
He's obsessed and certainly crazy and she just became pathetic (thanks to him) and needy. Sad but compelling story. Well done documentary.
