Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Sv G — 01 Jul 2011
Claire Danes gives a brilliant performance of real life Temple Grandin, a woman with autisim who in a time when most autistic children were institutionalized when onto earn a PhD and earned accomplishments on her way to the degree and beyond.
Julia Ormand and Catherine O'Hara who play her mother and her Aunt, the women in her life that helped her along and never gave up on her are also very nice played. The DVD offers a chance to see and hear the real Temple Grandin and note just how spot on Claire Danes is in her performance of her.
Very good and inspirational film that may just change your mind about autisim and what is capable from every child who has it. Grandin sees her own as an asset, not a hindrance. As she says, she is "different.
.but not less than anyone else".
