Review of Conviction (2010) by Kevin L — 05 Mar 2011
Based on a true story of the imprisonment of Kenny Waters, this tale follows the life of His sister, Betty Ann Waters, and her 18 year struggle to get him released from prison. It is a story of undying determination and love even in the face of what seems to be overwhelming odds.
Sam Rockwell plays Kenny, and does a convincing job. There is a short but impressive role played by Juliette Lewis that can be easily overlooked and is worth noting. This movie receives my,"it's worth a look", rating.
It is inspiring, but comes in a long line of."based on a true story", films that seem to be pouring out of Hollywood right now.
