Review of Con Air (1997) by Tanner J — 22 Jan 2010
Simply put, Con Air is a non-stop action movie with a stellar cast. Nicolas Cage stars as Cameron Poe, an army veteran who is convicted of manslaughter, and ends up on a plane with the "worst of the worst" offenders while being transferred for his release on parole.
Amazing performance in one of his best roles by John Malkovich as "Cyrus the Virus", and solid supporting roles played by John Cusack and Ving Rhames, among others. While the ending does not coincide at all with the nature of the rest of the film, moviegoers in search of a mindless action flick with good acting and solid one-liners will not leave disappointed.
