Review of Con Air (1997) by Retrorestle — 21 Nov 2021
I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of movies and I can honestly say that this is the most ridiculous one I've seen. It almost seems to me that it's something of a stealth parody of the action genre, kind of like how "Scream" is a stealth parody of the horror genre.
to put my thoughts in other words, this film is either comedic genius or complete stupidly and insanity, but no matter what, as a piece of pure entertainment, it's a (note the asterisk) masterpiece*.
