Review of Cobra Verde (1987) by Jarett B — 09 Dec 2007
When this film started off with Kinski as a notorious, bad-ass bandit I was near drooling at the western genre possibilities! Somewhere, it become very colonial and lost its steam. There is a great plot line in there somewhere about the infamous Cobra Verte.
Despite my dreams, however Kinski and Herzog together are golden, as always, creating immense tension amongst beautiful shots.
