Review of Cloverfield (2008) by Daniel T — 18 Apr 2013
An outstanding found footage experiment that borrows many aspects from classic monster movies and mixes them together to conduct a truly terrifying experience. This film has the early talents of Matt Reeves, who went on to direct Let Me In, and Drew Goddard, who went on to direct The Cabin in the Woods, and both bring everything they have to the table.
The result is a literal roller-coaster ride of a movie, except scarier.
