Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Brendan P — 21 Apr 2009

Cinema Paradiso deals with a grateful subject in a movie: the love for movies and cinema. The visuals and the music is very good, but unfortunately the story didn't suit me. I'm not a hardcore movie-fan and therefore had a hard time engaging in the story and relating to the characters.

I found it kind of boring even if some scenes and sub plots were really gripping. Nothing to complain about in the acting, very good and the child actor needs a special mentioning: he was talented and very charming.

I can recommend Cinema Paradiso to those of you that is really into movies, but the regular viewer might not like it too much.
