Review of Christine (1987) by Zane E — 31 Oct 2012
Christine is a red an white 1958 Plymouth Fury that just got off the assembly line. It is also a car that has an evil mind of its own. It seduces Arnie Cunningham who is a nerd who happened to drive by and see it parked and buys it from some strange guy.
They learn it was the guys brother who owned the car but the brother died mysteriously. It begins acting strange and so does Arnie who is practically in love with it. Arnie becomes obsessed and posessed and the car wants his undevided attention and his only and whoever gets in the way they become victims.
I thought it was a creepy movie. And you know with John Carpenter directing it that it would be good being that the Halloween movies were a success. It is also a book written by Stephen King who is also one of my favorites.
I have not read the book but would love to. I thought this was a good movie. Not really scary but enough to creep you out.
