Review of Chinatown (1974) by Suhas R — 16 Nov 2011
The minute you decide you want to be a screenwriter, both the script and the film should fall from the sky into your hands. Divine revelation, it's that good...I will acknowledge it is not very fast-moving or exciting however, the technique and craft is second to none both on the page and on the screen.
Just like a good book of Philosophy always teaches us something new about life, so Robert Towne's Oscar-winning noir tale always teaches us something new about writing for the movies.
