Très décevant. As inept a literary adaptation as has ever been filmed - as if its scenes were filmed from the outline of the novel's Cliff's Notes. With nothing to involve or engage its audience beside Friend's utter lusciousness, it's ultimately less satisfying than a week old croissant.
