Review of Hostiles (2017) by Craig T — 04 Jan 2018
Freak'n great movie. I was expecting a lot of "3:10 to Yuma" mixed with "Missing" before watching this film, but this one blew me away. The GREAT acting for EVERYONE in Hostiles makes you give a damn about what happens to all the characters.
I haven't seen a film like this where you care about ALL the characters and what happens in their lives. Very emotional movie too. I found myself getting teary-eyed at A LOT of parts. The music was amazing with the sense of emotion with the characters on the screen.
Christian Bale's character was believable and realistic with the environment he had to deal with. He was a dick at first, but he was well aware of his men and Rosalie's (Rosmund Pike) feelings.
Same with the Native American family. You feel for them and root for their journey home. I can't wait till this comes out on Blu-Ray.
