Necessary viewing that self-assuredly charts the systemic oppression of Black Americans from slavery, to Jim Crow, to mass incarceration, to now being openly killed on the streets. Unlucky number 13 continues to haunt the people it supposedly freed, and provide cover for the free men (and women) who continue to write the laws and narrative that keeps them enslaved.
