The cast is the best part of the film with Tom Hanks as a charismatic, southern stud and Philip Seymour Hoffman doing a good job as well. Julia Roberts is Julia Roberts with an accent but she's fine at it.
CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR attempts to be a smart, political war piece but ends up feeling small, boring and forgettable.
