Review of Charlie Wilson's War (2007) by The3Academysins — 16 Jun 2018
Charlie Wilson's War is a well written, well performed, and engaging true story of the United States's involvement in helping Afghanistan resist the Soviet Union, as well as the far-reaching consequences of this action.
It's a very entertaining movie that brings enjoyment and enlightenment to some very serious and complicated issues. It may be too simple sometimes, but Aaron Sorkin does a great job navigating the political quagmire with his script.
Tom Hanks is incredible, and really shines in this role. Philip Seymour Hoffman also has a great supporting part, and is a joy to watch. I definitely recommend this film to fans of political drama.
