Review of Charlie Countryman (2013) by Lluvia A — 15 May 2014
Charlie Countryman (Shia LaBeouf) goes to Bucharest after the spirit of his dead mother tells him to do so. He meets, and falls for, Gabi (Evan Rachel Wood) after her father dies next to Charlie on the plane.
The script is not the best and I was wondering why certain things were happening, but I was still sucked into the story and the look of the overall film is beautiful. I am not a fan of LaBeouf, but I did enjoy his performance in this film.
Overall, I think this fun is a mess, but a fun, thrilling, beautiful mess.
