Charlie's mom dies. Her spirit asks him to travel to Bucharest, Romania. On the plane, he meet a Romanian travelling back home who tells him about his daughter. The man dies on the plane and Charlie makes it his quest to find Gabi. He ends up at Marco Polo hostel (trivia: the hostel is actually in Budapest, where the characters repeatedly joke his mother meant to send him). He falls in love with Gabi who is married to evil Nigel.
After a series of non-coincidences and hard luck, Nigel is shot by an office and Charlie learns that his mom actually meant to send him to Budapest.
