Review of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) by Interfan841 . — 05 Feb 2011
What a movie!! Another Tennessee Williams-based story that is absolutely mesmerizing from the get go. Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor are fantastic and brilliant in their portrayal of a married couple in a crisis of trust.
The dialogue in this film is one of the best I've heard and ranks very highly in my opinion. It has the usual Williams themes of unhappy and lost characters looking for a life with meaning and happiness.
I will be watching this for decades to come and I am sure that I will be spell-bound after every single viewing! Highly highly recommended!!!
