Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Raymond E — 20 May 2016

This was the final stand alone movie before the Avengers. This movie had a lot of pressure since Cap is the first avenger, and if this movie failed, then the avengers movie had a huge chance of failing.

But luckily, this is a fantastic movie. It combines all the action we love with an authentic wwii setting. The plot is also really good when it shows Cap from being a weakling, to propaganda star, to full on soldier.

It really gets satisfying to see the cycle and Cap save the day. The designs of both Cap and the red skull are also marvelous and their fight scenes are my favorite fight scenes in the stand alone phase 1 movies.

This movie is a treat for the whole family to enjoy.
