Review of Can't Buy Me Love (1987) by Hugo F — 09 Feb 2008
I don't know why I love this movie. Its got all the class of the 80's flick and so there is just so much to grin at and for god's sake they hardly abuse the song for which the film is cleverly named.
I think the appeal to me, is the quaint obsession with being popular revealing a kid who would rather forge strong, honest relationships then be seen every friday night at the next door neighbors drinking parties.
American Bandstand is mentioned that seals the deal.
