I guess you're supposed to like the "good-hearted reporter" Albert Brooks over the "vain news anchor" William Hurt, but Albert Brooks comes off like a total asshole and William Hurt is totally charming and pretty well-informed.
Also, Holly Hunter is way too hot to be a harried television producer.
