Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Avital G — 18 Nov 2007
It's delicate and beautiful. The times are different, and people are more devoted to their families and also more naive about passion. The music is amazing, the trains add drama and urgency, the lights and shadows in the black and white photography make it more tragic.
..Celia Johnson has the most expressive eyes.
