Review of Brick Lane (2007) by Reginald V — 20 Jul 2008
Pretty nicely done film. I haven't read the book yet, so can't really comment on the quality of its adaptation. However, I must say a competent and praiseworthy effort has been attempted. Yes, the film is slow moving at times but in a whole it is a very nicely done piece of work.
..it's a film which is so close to the home and can very well be related to. It portrays love, cultural bindgings and the struggle everyone goes through when they leave their home in hope of making one somewhere away from it.
All in all...a job well done.
