Review of Brick (2006) by Gulsah C — 03 Jan 2011
I have seen so many good reviews on this movie and unfortunately I did not even care for the film AT ALL. I would have thought I'd enjoy it, you know... film noir like and a mystery (not to mention, indie).
Was no mystery... I had already guessed part of the ending from the very beginning. This film made me laugh uncontrollably. Was this what they were going for or no? If they did mean to make me laugh then by all means, I will re-watch it with this in mind.
The shots seemed over-done as if one was trying too hard to make it look interesting. The whole thing reminded me of what my peers used to make in my high school's media class. If you would have given the top students in that class some money, I'm damn sure they could have pulled this film off very well.
I wish I was kidding about that sentence. The film/story also just seemed so dragged out. I really really did not care for the film and have stopped paying attention to it.
