Review of Breaking and Entering (2006) by Clay K — 05 Jun 2008
It's an engaging movie that could have used a little more livening up. The script is halting, labored and overly mannered. The story has no ethical point whatsoever, though it implies a great deal of depth in that area. Maybe Will's character could have been more fully developed, as well as Liv, so we can get a clue as to why Will does what he does.
On the other hand, the filming techniques are bold and innovative, and The acting is.
Excellent (as would be expected of Binoche, Law and Wright), specially Juliette Binoche and Robin Wright's dare to look so unglamorous. They are undoubtedly very beautiful but they certainly look their age.
Altogether, it's great film about the human conscience and priorities and well worths watching.
