With a movie like this, not only do you realize the true nature of life, but we are gifted with a wonderful director and powerful performances from the actors. Ice Cube has lost all his confidence for this role, and (yes, surprisingly) should have been up for an Oscar.

It is heartbreaking, funny and true to life. It simply reminds us of the problems going on in the US, and the world, for that matter. I got teary-eyed, yes, and I do every time I see it, because of its power and sadness.

Yet it also proves the ability of getting out of your situation and living a good life. You roll the dice and sometimes live with the result, but they are objects that we can flip again without anyone noticing.
