N.W.A. Introduced the world to life of a young black male in Los Angeles through music. Boyz showed it. Terrific performances by the entire cast, Ice Cube being a standout seeing how it was first role ever.
Yes, he essentially playing himself but his natural charisma and ease in front of the camera proved he was going to be a star. John Singleton has crafted a film that will live on for as long as film does.
I have seen this movie more times than I can count. ***SPOILERS!!!*** I cry every time Ricky dies. This is powerful filmmaking.
