If you've ever seen a promo poster for the film you might look at the way "Boyz" or "N" are spelled & then look at the font of those characters represented & expect a blaxploitation film or lots of gangster glorification.
Not quite. Along with Menace II Society (which also takes place in South Central LA) & New Jersey Drive (set on the east coast), Boyz N the Hood is a gritty drama about the plight of urban America told with real conviction.
