Review of Body Heat (1981) by P. P — 30 Jan 2011
Still ingenious in 2011 this is a marvellous re-working of a classic noir with lashings of Double Indemnity and The Postman Always Rings Twice. Kathleen Turner does a lovely Stanwyck husky voice and this is William Hurt at the top of his game.
There are lashings of black comedy and this is gloriously melodramatic with an evocative jazzy score perfect for this homage to femme fatales and classic crime. IF you have seen it before rent it again! If its your first viewing you are in for a treat!!
