Review of Body Heat (1981) by Dan H — 30 Mar 2014
Kathleen Turner is sizzling here as a femme fatale that successfully wraps a lawyer into her web of murder and deceit. John Hurt does a fine performance as Ned Racine (the lawyer), Ted Danson is super memorable as his friend Peter Lowenstein, J.
A. Preston is good as another one of Racine's friends who works as a cop, and Mickey Rourke is memorable as a cool mechanic who assists Racine every now and then. Body Heat is a hyper-sexual noir set in a small Florida town during a particularly hot time of the year (the heat is a recurring theme).
It's a very entertaining film, and it helps that Turner has quite an impressive body that she has no problem with flaunting around both in titillating dresses and in the nude.
