Not at all in the same class as a comedy or movie as the original Blues Brothers, but bears watching because of the performances by a number of great musicians. People will watch this in 20 years for the same reason "The Girl Can't Help It" is still watched.
And after a few years of "Glee" we are much more accepting of production numbers.
