Review of Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) by Allen G — 03 Mar 2013

A cameo-fest of fun sing-alongs mixed with a wacky plot filled with madness. The problem is that's it's not original- this is a pretty shameful remake of a classic that lacks any real imagination or smarts.

Too much of it amounts to weak comedy shot awkwardly while one waits for some music to play. It's worth a watch, mostly for all the cool cameos but it's a big disappointment to fans of the original.

A prime example of what a sequel shouldn't be but almost always is. Still, awesome cameos and good soundtrack.
