Exhilarating, poetic... It crawls under our skin like an insect while stunning us in a film-noirlike dream going on for the entire length of this picture - David Lynch makes this work so well that 'Blue Velvet' ends up as one of the most transporting of his movies which leads into one or two extra dimensions.
