A fairly solid mystery film, but certainly not David Lynch's best by any means. In fact, he has become so refined in his skill at this point that this film actually feels amateur in comparison to later works such as Mulholland Drive.
There's some very harsh editing that does not feel intentional throughout, and scenes that easily could have been cut.
