Review of Blood Father (2016) by Bjorn B — 25 Oct 2016
Mel Gibson has certainly still got it; his latest, "Blood Father", is a grizzly swirl of action, self-referential humour and interesting supporting performances culminating in 88 minutes of balls-to-the-wall action and a welcomed supply of melodrama.
Whilst perhaps a more steady hand on the camera would not have gone a miss as the more jittery and edgy approach occasionally distracts from the set pieces, this energetically paced, relentless, stripped-down B-rate action thriller is a fitting comeback for one of my favorite actors.
