Review of Blood Father (2016) by Andythemovieman 2 — 28 Jul 2017
Watching this felt like a guilty pleasure. Regardless of what Mel Gibson has done in the past there is no disputing the man can act. Especially when given a vehicle that plays to his strengths. The plot is a perfect fit, an ex con and recovering alcoholic with a violent past, is called upon to protect his estranged daughter who's made some seriously dubious choices of her own.
Gritty and occasionally disjointed, the good makes up for any shortcomings.
