Review of Blended (2014) by Bryan R — 30 Aug 2014
Two single parents with children (Sandler and Barrymore) wind up together on an African holiday, after a disastrous first blind date. Blended has a very perfunctory plot and lacks a strong narrative thrust (most of it is silly antics at a resort), but it's not such a huge problem when Sandler and Barrymore's chemistry (on their second outing together since The Wedding Singer) buoys the film so much.
The kid actors also help the film along, being the source of most of the genuine humour the film offers. Really a case of a film being more likable than it is good.
