Review of Big Fish (2003) by Grant H — 13 Jan 2015
Tim Burton strayed from form in this bright fantasy adventure film about a man who tells tall tales of his life, and has a son who has lost touch with him because of it. Instead of casting Depp or making the story dark and somewhat creepy, he made it light not only in tone but in style.
McGreggor and Finney are both great as Edward Bloom, and most of the supporting cast are good as well. The movie is pretty enjoyable, and wonderfully shot. I personally enjoyed it a lot.
