Review of Becket (1964) by Todd K — 05 Dec 2007
Superb acting. Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole's byplay is one the the best ( Lion in Winter is a must see as well ) and yes..
O'Toole is an excellent whiner. He conveys every aspect of spoiled, whimsical, weak, cruel, unloved wanting to be loved, feeling betrayed yet the character garners sympathy possibly because the camera loved O'Toole during his youth and he does have a certain charisma which all good leading players have.
