Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Peter P — 09 Oct 2012

Pretty much every bit as cool and violent as I had heard about. The concept is interesting, the acting pretty good overall, although some of the teens were really bad, and whether the whole Hunger Games stories was inspired from any part of this or not, it is easy to see the similarities, and thus people will talk about it in comparison, but seeing as Battle Royale was first, it gets a lot more points for originality and for boldly going where most movies won't, which is full out teens graphically killing other teens violence, so be warned now, cause it is a bloody movie to say in the least.
