Review of Battle for Haditha (2007) by Chris-Atle W — 25 Jun 2008
Powerful and deeply disturbing in equal measures, this movie looks at the complexities of modern warfare and how one event can change the course of many lives.
This is the true story of a marine convoy who are hit by a road side bomb and it triggers events that both sides should be ashamed of.
The cowardliness of the insurgents, who daily put their own people in the firing line by their actions and the gun-ho mentality of some US marines...shoot and kill, we'll worry about later.
Very powerful and a reminder that modern warfare is not "clean and precise" as we are made to believe.
