Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Tazio G — 08 Jun 2015
This movie is a good movie, though it is neither as deep or as dark as the other pieces of this Trilogy. Christian Bale does a good job as Bruce Wayne - very convincing - and his physicality as Batman is top-notch, the only complaint being the growly voice used by Batman.
It's not scary, it's grating. What makes this movie less deep is that the villain wants to Deep Six Gotham ,and Batman naturally opposes; however, Batman doesn't give a convincing philosophical argument to the half-truthful objections raised by the villain (which Batman will in the later installments), so we only get the physical salvation of Gotham in this one.
It's a good place to start, not too heavy, with fast pacing and A1 Character acting by Morgan Freeman.
