Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Bruno S — 18 Jul 2018
Nolan delivers a well made batman film with depth and a vision like Time Burton did with Batman Returns. The Batman series had fallen on hard times and required a new vision Warner Bros chose correctly, Nolan was a pivotal force in its success.
People ignore the fact that the Dark Knight would not be anything without Batman Begins, it is a dark tone setting film that gave hope that the character would not be walking around with nipples on the suit.
The cast is perfect and the villains are right on the money, even though they would recycle The Joker in The Dark Knight, Nolan had enough depth to create a superhero film based in reality. I loved this film when I watched it at the cinema and I continue to enjoy the film, Nolan was a filmmaking on the rise and I'm happy he left his big budget tone on this franchise.
